This municipal hydro substation accommodates two high-voltage transformer units and associated low-voltage switchgear within a prominent, highly visible location. Masonry and sound-absorbing block walls were used to screen the electrical infrastructure and reduce noise impacts. Extensive use of permeable Turfblock concrete pavers provides durable maintenance access for operations vehicles while supporting stormwater infiltration, allowing the project to achieve both environmental sustainability and engineering performance objectives.
