This original two-storey brick house, built in 1910 on a magnificent lakeside lot, underwent a comprehensive renovation that included upgrading all building services and insulation. A new entrance was added, providing generous storage and a more practical arrival sequence. The existing kitchen was renovated with traditional millwork, carefully preserving the home's original character. Design brief also called for a dedicated art studio at ground level. Positioned on the north side of the house, the new studio features expansive glazing that fills the space with soft, consistent natural light—ideal for creative work. A new open deck and pergola were also introduced to integrate the building with the existing landscape. These outdoor spaces create a welcoming setting for family gatherings and larger social occasions while strengthening the connection between the house and its lakeside surroundings.
