The Bocce Court project was developed in response to the local community's need for a year-round gathering space, allowing residents to continue playing bocce indoors during the colder months. Simple single-span, A-frame pre-engineered steel building was selected as the most economical building envelope solution. To enhance the building's appearance and durability, a clay brick veneer was added around the perimeter at the base of the exterior walls. Two overhead doors were incorporated to provide a direct connection between the indoor and outdoor bocce courts, creating a seamless transition and extending usability during the shoulder seasons. The completed facility is a single-storey structure. It includes an accessible mezzanine level and provides approximately 650 m² of usable floor area. To maximize the interior playing space, the HVAC equipment was located externally within a lean-to mechanical enclosure.
